A major player in the fuel distribution sector in Africa and the Middle East region, TotalEnergies Malawi has been in the country for over 55 years.

In over 55 years that TotalEnergies has been operating in Malawi, it has consolidated its position as the energy leader providing innovative energy solutions to all sectors of the country’s economy. Today TotalEnergies has the most widespread network of service stations totalling 65 and provides support and energy solutions to the public works, agriculture, transport, energy, manufacturing, cement, sugar, mining and construction industries in the country.

With more than 500 employees who work directly and indirectly for the Company, TotalEnergies Malawi is synonymous with innovation in product and service solutions in the industry.
Our expanded products range includes fuels, high quality lubricants, car care products, service stations which offer shops, quick service restaurants in partnership with Famous Brands and car washes.

Our service station offer is also supported by a fuel management system, the TotalEnergies CARD, which undergoes regular updates to improve access to the services and controls that we offer to our customers.

In 2013, TotalEnergies unveiled its new identity of service stations in Malawi deemed TAIR; another example of the company’s drive towards innovation: modern design, enhanced services, expanded product offer, environmentally-friendly materials, and even better service are the hallmark of the new service station identity.

This is further evidenced by our investment in upgrading and increasing the storage capacity of our depot fuel storage facilities thereby contributing to security of supply in the country. With depots in all the 3 regions of the country, we are able to support our business partners including government in economic development of the country.

TotalEnergies Malawi is involved in different sustainable development program some of them are; Young Dealer Program, Malaria awareness, Children’s road safety, Education – Polytechnic annual students awards, Mary’s Meals Feed the Children program support, Mutual support – a program where staff are given food items to assist them in coping with rising cost of living.

In Malawi we have partnered with both the public and private sectors in reaching out to members of our societies that need help. TotalEnergies Malawi thus has the following sustainable development programs:

1. Road Safety program: supply of scholar safety kits to primary schools in collaboration with National Road Safety Council of Malawi.

2. HIV programs: provision of solar energy in the HIV/Aids support programs in collaboration with the society of St. Egidio/DREAM HIV centres; HIV in the work place sensitization program.

3. Malaria program: education and prevention program in collaboration with primary schools under the Ministry of Education.

4. Education program: partnership with University of Malawi in research and internships; University student scholarship award program.

5. Startupper of the year by TotalEnergies – to assist budding SMEs with capital for their business; precisely the youth in Malawi to curb the high unemployment levels.
